Steve was one of life’s genuine ‘gentlemen’. Never one to brag about himself, despite his past business and sporting successes, and never one to take a contrary position or take issue. He was interesting and amusing but, even more importantly, he was always interested in ‘you’. In other words, whenever we were with him, he always asked about us, about our lives, about our thoughts rather than talking about himself. This is such a virtue and not always common in people. We absolutely loved our walks with Steve and Lynne and we will miss him hugely.
